Should We Have Zoos by Azalea Room 18

 I think we should have zoos. Zoos treat animals in a nice way.

The first reason is that zoos help the animals to make their species grow. They have breeding programmes.

The second reason is that they get more food instead  of having to hunt to catch their own food. The zoo staff give them the right amount of food with a balanced diet.

They rescue animals which are endangered and keep them safe in their zoo.

Zoos treat  animals kindly with respect!

I  Think  people should not keep cats

Cats kill NewZealand nature birds then there will be no more birds.  

Cats jump on the curtains sometime.

Sometimes your  cats  might bring a dead bird into the house.

When you play with your cats they might scratch you with their sharp claws.

Cats should be banned from New Zealand!!

Trelise's Howick Historical Village Story

Howick Historical Village by Trelise

On the 4 May 2015 Rm 18, by bus, went to Howick Historical Village.

I went with Kim (adult), Elise, Cynthia, Daniel, and me. After lunch, we explored the Village. First we saw number 5. It really did look olden days. Next we went to number 4. OMG! It really did look like olden days! Next we went to number 3. All of it looked like the olden days! Next we went to the children’s  museum. There were olden day toys. There were marble runs and all sorts of things. I thought it was the best. There were other things too that were cool.

I loved it! I hope I go again.

 

Mothers Day by Daniel

Mothers Day

On Mother’s Day day I gave Mummy breakfast  in bed. I gave her icecream and coffee. Next I gave her my present which was a kitchen timer. Mum used it for timing us when we dressed. Next we went to a restaurant. The first eating place we went to had too many people so we went to a second eating place. It was not full. Reuben had a cheeseburger I had nuggets and chips which were yummy! Reuben gave me half of his burger because Dad said to.

    On Mother’s Day I gave my mum a necklace and I gave her breakfast in bed. I gave her a cake and ice cream. Then I gave her a card. After that we went to the pool.When it was 10 am we went home.Then at 8 pm we went to Denny's. It was the best Mother’s Day ever.
